Comex is a type family designed to assist in the creation of a new public image for Comex, a company dedicated to merchandising paintings. The objective was to design a sans serif family with rounded serifs that would be perceived as modern and flexible and which would conserve the required formality of corporate documents.
The darker weights are ideal for headings, as they are memorable and provide presence. The condensed versions help when you need to fit a lot of information in a confined space, such as in captions and disclaimers.
In 2012, Comex was selected by Tipos Latinos (a biennial competition for Latin American typography). The family has replaced Myriad in their corporate communication.
